MAG USA has announced the opening of its fourth Escape Lounge at Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO). Its award-winning Escape Lounges allow guests to dine, connect and relax by offering unlimited, complimentary food and beverages and high-speed WiFi, all in a comfortable lounge close to airline gates. As a common-use lounge, all airport passengers – regardless of airline, credit card or other loyalty programs – are welcome in Escape Lounges.
Chef Colin Smith, chef-owner at Roundabout Grill, was chosen to curate the menus for breakfast, lunch/dinner and cocktails. Chef Smith's local pride and connection to the community made him an excellent choice to infuse the menu with flavors of the region. With an option for every palate, entrée choices include fresh, light fare like tuna poke and indulgent items like his "kickass chips" smothered in BBQ sauce from BJ’s Roadhouse. Guests can also enjoy a variety of freshly-made breakfast options such as Ciabatta Crème Brulee French Toast or a variety of desserts such as chocolate caramel brownie cupcakes.
"The addition of the Escape Lounge RNO adds another level of outstanding customer service to our airport," Marily Mora, President/CEO of Reno-Tahoe International Airport said. "Chef Colin will bring local flavors to a lounge with an international reputation for quality and comfort. Our customers and our community can be excited about this latest addition to RNO."
With comfortable, high-end furniture and unique seating zones, guests can have a relaxing experience tailored to their needs. Whether a customer wants to sip an Emerald Bay Chardonnay by the bar or enjoy a coffee from Wood-Fire Roasted Coffee Company and read in the study, there is a place for everyone. The lounge also offers unparalleled views of the airfield and Sierra Nevada mountains. The Escape Lounge RNO is conveniently located just upstairs from security between both concourses with easy access to all gates.
"MAG USA is pleased to open the first and only airport lounge at Reno-Tahoe International Airport and offer all passengers a convenient, affordable premium lounge experience," said Rosemarie Andolino, President and CEO of MAG USA. "Passengers traveling through the region will now have access to an airport lounge where they can relax and recharge while enjoying award-winning, local chef-inspired cuisine to enhance their travel experience."
This lounge will be the first lounge opened since US Escape Lounges became part of the American Express Global Lounge Collection. American Express Platinum Card Members receive complimentary access to US Escape Lounges and may be accompanied by up to two traveling companions for no additional charge. The Escape Lounge RNO follows lounges at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP), Hartford’s Bradley International Airport (BDL) and Oakland International Airport (OAK).
For an admission fee of $45 per customer, all airline passengers traveling through RNO have the opportunity to take advantage of stylish and contemporary furnishings; an extensive complimentary food offering; a wide array of unlimited complimentary beers, wines and spirits, as well as non-alcoholic beverages; flight information screens; free high-speed WiFi; a relaxed atmosphere; and a selection of newspapers and magazines.
