Sinking Ship Garage Named One of ‘Coolest’ in U.S.

Who notices the touches on a parking garage? Whoever thought a parking garage could be considered “cool?”

Well, Sinking Ship garage, at 515 Second Ave. in the Pioneer Square neighborhood, has been named one of the “top three 3 coolest parking spots in the U.S.” by Looking4.com – a comparison parking website – and Architizer, a website for architects.

The garage is in the same location as the former historic Seattle Hotel, which was built in the 1890s and demolished in 1961. It is rumored to be haunted.
