Rosemarie Andolino serves as CEO and President of MAG USA overseeing the development of MAG’s North American airport services business. MAG USA was launched in June 2015 bringing three new business lines to the US market; P3 Airport Terminal & Retail developments, Escape Lounges (common-use airport lounges) and Car Parking services. This year MAG USA celebrated its first anniversary of the opening of their Escape Lounge in MSP and was proud to announce the opening of Escape in BDL and OAK.
Ms. Andolino joined MAG following more than 12 years at the Chicago Department of Aviation. As Commissioner, she oversaw the management and operation of one of the world’s busiest airport systems, comprised of both O’Hare and Midway International Airports, during a time of rapid expansion and redevelopment. She revived the airports focus on customer service and led the $26 million redevelopment of O’Hare’s International Terminal, driving record growth in retail and commercial revenues.
In addition, Rosemarie was also in charge of the $8 billion O’Hare Modernization Program which reconfigured the airports antiquated intersecting runways into a modern parallel runway system. This infrastructure program was completed on time, under budget and without disruption to one of the world’s busiest airfields.
Ms. Andolino sits on several boards and was recently appointed to the U.S. Department of Transportation National Advisory Committee on Travel and Tourism Infrastructure.
Michael Boland, formerly the First Deputy Commissioner of the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA), which manages and operates O’Hare International (ORD) and Midway International (MDW) Airports. In addition, the CDA is responsible for the implementation of the O’Hare Modernization Program (OMP).
Prior to this, Michael was the First Deputy Director with the OMP (O’Hare Modernisation Program), worked in the Mayor’s Office and served as Deputy Commissioner of Intergovernmental Affairs within the CDA.
Before working for the city, Michael worked in the United States House of Representatives and United States Senate. He is a graduate of Duke University and the Loyola University of Chicago School of Law.
Rob serves as the Project Delivery Director for MAG USA, covering lounges, car parking and terminal development sectors for Manchester Airport Group’s U.S.-based business. Rob is charged with directing all facets of the end-to-end delivery of lounges and commercial development programs in North America based on his 14-plus years of airport development experience, ranging from baggage handling systems to commercial terminal retail programming and development.
Rob began his career with EYP Architects and Engineers, gaining experience in architectural and engineering design for numerous higher educational and laboratory facilities including Harvard University, City University of New York and University of Maryland Baltimore County. After working with UK-based AMEC Construction Management to gain management experience on the construction side of projects, in 2004 Rob joined BAA USA (now AIRMALL USA), an airport concessions development company where he was the Development Director from 2010-2015.
Michael is Head of Lounge Operations for Escape and is responsible for overseeing all daily operations within the three Escape Lounges in the U.S. as well as the correct execution of new lounge opening processes. Michael brings a strong hospitality background to the MAG USA team.
Michael previously acted as Operations Director for HMSHost, Catering Supervisor for the executive suites at the Target Center in Minneapolis and holds a BS degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration. Having dedicated his career to the hospitality industry since age 15, his goal is to ensure that every guest coming into all of the Escape Lounges across the US receives the superb level of service for which the Escape lounge brand is known.
John is a Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA), who has advised some of the largest companies in the UK on process, system developments and data validation. John oversees the E-Commerce and Business Intelligence Software development & integration, which play a fundamental role in delivering the Parking Strategy and driving revenue. He has also led on the multi-million dollar Car Park Revenue Control System tender for East Midlands Airport installed in February 2016.
MAG has benefitted from John’s extensive knowledge of all the systems involved in delivering a profitable and efficient Car Park Business. His understanding of the end to-end process and system integration proves vital in running a successful operation. More recently, John also facilitated an audit and data validation program, plus a review of the MAG Payment Service Providers for both the Car Park Revenue Control Systems and e-Commerce solutions.
Lounge Manager (OAK)
Michael oversees the day to day management of the Escape Lounge at Oakland International Airport in California. Optimizing the Oakland Escape Lounge customer experience, managing client relations and developing local partnerships all falls within his remit. Michael brings almost a decade of hospitality, customer service, airport operations and management experience to the MAG USA team.
Michael previously served as Banquet Manager for Crowne Plaza hotel, Senior Banquet Manager for Oakland Marriott, Account Manager with Coca Cola, and has served multiple roles with United Airlines. He has managed teams of up to one hundred employees in addition to heading a company Safety Committee and assisting with general hospitality operations.
Michael believes in providing his employees with the best possible opportunity to achieve success. His goals include developing a team that will provide the best customer service experience possible, while upholding the highest company standards, and actively working to accomplish and maintain MAG USA’s corporate goals.
Lounge Manager (BDL)
Matt, a lifelong Connecticut resident, is Escape Lounge Manger at Hartford’s Bradley International Airport.
After graduating College, Matt spent over 13 years in a wide variety of roles within the hospitality industry, including the Tournament Players Club (TPC) at River Highlands PGA tour golf course and Outback Steakhouse.
Matt lists golf, computers, cooking and travel among his hobbies and leisure activities, and looks forward to providing great service to guests traveling through Bradley.
Based out of MAG USA’s Chicago headquarters, Liam was one of only two colleagues relocated to the USA to contribute to the initial setup of MAG’s North American Business in 2015. Liam now works as a Commercial Business Partner, responsible for Business Development for both existing and new airport lounge locations.
Prior to joining MAG USA, Liam acted as Retail Business Partner at London Stansted Airport, working on an £80m retail redevelopment of the departure lounge. He worked with local and global retail brands as well as numerous airport departments to ensure timely delivery of an outstanding quality retail offering and passenger lounge, delivered on budget and to time.
Liam began his career with MAG in the UK after completing a degree in Aviation Technology. During that time, Liam worked in various airports and departments including; Retail Commercial, Customer Services, Resource & Planning, Terminal Engineering and Health & Safety; all of which gave him a broad experience across the airport business.
